If this is your first time using a random cam site, you may have a couple of questions regarding the way this site functions. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions to help you out. If you have any questions that aren’t listed here, by all means, contact us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

How do I send the text I have written in the box ?

Sending the text you have written is easy; type whatever you want in the box and then press on the “enter” key on your keyboard. If the text doesn’t send, refresh the page or try using a different web browser. If the problem continues, contact us.

Can I prevent people from specific countries from seeing me ?

Although you can choose to view people from specific countries only, you cannot remove some countries from the list. If you really don’t want to view people from one country, choose a different country.

Why do I get users from random countries when selecting a specific country ?

The way our system works is it connects you to a random user from a random pool of 100 users each time. If there are no users from your selected country in that pool then it will connect you to a random user from any country. This feature makes connections to a selected country a priority which means most of the time it should connect you to someone in the country you selected.

Why I am being "nexted" so fast ?

If people are skipping you really fast and pressing next before you get a chance to say something there are a few things that you can do. First make sure that your webcam is enabled and pointed at your face. Finally the best advice we could give you is to simply smile, wave and say hello this is probably the most effective way to break the ice and engage in a lasting video chat with a stranger on Shagle.

Why do I get so many black screens ?

If you are having problems seeing other users it is most likely caused by wifi connections (wireless networks), please use a wired connection to resolve this issue. If you still have this issue even when not using wifi then we would like to hear from you and can help you solve your issue. Please contact us using our online contact form and make sure to include the following:

  • Operating System (Windows, IOS, Linux, etc.)
  • Browser (Chrome, IE, Firefox, etc.)
  • Connection (DSL, Cable, T1, etc)
  • Device (PC, laptop, tablet, phone, etc.)

What is "the webcam is broken" error ?

If you keep getting errors when you try connecting your webcam, you will need to verify a few things. First, make sure that you have the latest version of Flash installed on your computer. If it’s not up to date, update it and try again. If the problem persists, try updating your web browser.

Can I save a conversation that I had with another user ?

At the moment we have not added a feature that allows you to record conversations with other users. This feature may be available at a later time, but we do not have plans to integrate such a feature anytime soon. If you wish to keep a conversation that you have had, you will need to take “print-screens” of your screen using the print-screen button on your keyboard, or if you are using Apple computers you would need to press on cmd + shift + 4.

How can I report another user ?

If you notice another user misbehaving on cam and you have read our Terms and feel that they are in violation, we would ask that you report them. To report another user, you will need to press on the "report" button (or flag icon on mobile devices).

How can I contact Shagle ?
